Pullin for Crash

Truck Pulls Season usually runs from May-September. We like to travel to as many as we can make it to. So far this year we have made it to 4. Lathan loves to tinker on the blazer! The blazer is his late Little Brother Clayton's. Clayton mentioned to Lathan a few times about how he would love to "beef up" his blazer and enter it into the pulls. So since 2004 Lathan has been entering it and doing his best to make Clayton proud. Its been a great activity that gets all of the family together. This year he has taken 1st place twice!!

When you enter your truck at the pulls it has to have a name. Since the blazer is Lathan's "Anger Management" it only seemed appropriate to name it that!

POCATELLO, ID PULLS:

The weekend we were in Pocatello was WET and COLD! None of us were prepared for it. But Lathan was determined to stick it out and 'let her get a run at it' for the first time of the year. I don't remember what we placed but with the track as wet as it was...he was more like mud boggin than anything.

FORT HALL, ID PULLS:
297 FT

Our 2nd trip took us to Fort Hall, ID. We took 1st place, 297 ft!!

TREMONTON PULLS:

This year Rod entered in a truck at the Tremonton pulls for fun. He wants it to be a family truck so that anyone in the family who wants a chance to drive can. They are trying to talk me in to it! Can any of you see me doing that? Maybe we should place some bets...

This truck actually has the original motor out of the blazer. His truck name is, "Still Angry". The truck took off well, but there is still some head scratchin and tinkering to be done to get it where they want it.

Finish line 301 ft!

YEAH!! We took 1st place in our home town!! This is the most important place for the blazer to do well in. We have a bunch of friends and family that come to support the blazer.

Montpelier, ID:

This is our latest trip for the year, we had some new fans this year in Montpelier. :)

Cooper got to come with us for his first time! A one year old's attention span is only so long...but he LOVED it! He is now obsessed with loud trucks. He watches the videos that we have taped of the truck pulls all of the time with Lathan. He claps and does his happy dance!

We hope to be able to squeeze in atleast 1-2 more trips. I will try and post some pictures of some of the other trucks in other classes next time. Some of them are so powerful...they make the stadium seats rumble!
