For years I have been putting off an oral surgery, (including cancelling 2 scheduled surgeries) & I finally caved in and went through with it two weeks ago yesterday. I had 7 teeth surgically removed (6 that were impacted) & a bone graph put in for a future implant. I mainly put it off because it didn’t cause me any pain but more so, embarrassment for the teeth that you could see needed fixed. -(A dead baby tooth)
3 of the 7 teeth were wisdom teeth and 3 other teeth were adult teeth that had never grown into the spot where baby teeth had fallen out. Instead they were laying down impacted in my gums.
What an experience! Lathan says, “well at least the worst part is over now-The part of getting up the courage to get here and follow through with it.” Easy to say…some random side effects that I still have are: Complete numbness in my chin and lower lip, jaw stiffness, soreness & my left dimple is missing! When I went to my follow up appointment to my doctor, he said that I had a 5% chance of that happening, and that I “should” fully recover in the next 4 months. Wish me luck! PS-Did I mention that I can’t stop craving steak? :(

Oh good luck Chelsie! I hate...HATE the dentist! I have 2 wisdom teeth that have grown in all the way! They need to be pulled but I am terrified! If you can go through all this...I can :)

That doesn't sound fun at all!! Glad you finally got brave and did it!! I'm sure it is great having it done.
